Non-profit corporation is seeking a full-time Procurement/Marketing Specialist for office located in Clarksburg, WV. Work involves assisting companies with federal, state and local government contracting. Expect travel in-state and out-of-state, client meetings, and public speaking. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience. This job requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Individual must be able to work independently as well as a team environment. Responsibilities:
Direct RCAC’s information and assistance programs within a designated geographic service area. Provide existing businesses with technical assistance and counseling that enables them to more fully participate in contracting and subcontracting opportunities with federal state, and local government agencies, and with the private sector. Procurement Counselors will prepare and maintain client profiles and keyword search patterns in the RCAC database; maintain client files and logs of client activity; help clients develop a targeted approach to their government markets; help clients understand the government procurement process; coordinate workshops within their geographic area in conjunction with other service delivery partners; maintain, within the RCAC database, accurate time records of their activity; collect and enter into the RCAC database contract award verification data; follow-up in a timely manner all issues raised in satisfaction surveys and document same in the RCAC database; and forward to the Director of Marketing Assistance any ideas for new client attraction strategies or areas of client training. These personnel are frequently referred to herein as “counselors.”
